Guitar Instruction DVD: Review of Learn and Master Guitar

November 5th, 2009 admin No comments

Have you been looking for a really good course to help you learn guitar but are not sure if the course if right for you?

I know how you feel. I felt the same way. I wasn’t finding any really good reviews on what product was best for me. I thought there may be other people in the same situation I was in so I wrote my review for the guitar instruction DVD’s I used.

It is called Learn and Master Guitar.

I have been spending a lot of time trying to find a really good system to teach me to play the guitar.

I decided to get the Learn and Master Guitar instruction DVD set.

This course is solid. It offers more than any other course I looked at for several reasons.

  • The instructor, Steve Krenz, is a professional studio and touring guitar player. Not just a guy in his bedroom making videos.
  • 20 DVD’s packed with lessons and tutorials. It covers everything for acoustic guitar, electric guitar, blues guitar, jazz guitar, classical guitar, country, funk and more!
  • 5 jam along CD’s with 100 music tracks created by professional musicians, not some cheap computer created tracks. This part is AWESOME!!
  • Excellent support and a forum to get help from other guitar players

My first day learning I was able to play a couple of songs. The songs were basic but hey I had to start someplace, right?

Guitar Instruction DVD The lessons were easy to follow along with. Multiple cameras are used to see where his fingers are placed AND how he is picking the strings.

Plus it displays the sheet music and tablature of exactly how it is played. No details were left out means no guessing at what was just played!

Since it is on DVD I could easily go back and rewind a piece so I could be sure I got it right.

The only downside that I got from this was that I had to wait a few days to get it shipped to me but nonetheless I was happy when I received it.

It really focuses on rhythm guitar and basic to intermediate lead guitar. This is what I needed without feeling overwhelmed by having extremely advanced lead guitar lessons. I just want to learn to play and play well and this does exactly that!

Each guitar lesson has an instruction and then a workshop where you can practice and master what you just learned.

Progress is easy to see. In just a month I have seen huge improvements in my playing. My confidence in what I can play grows every day.

When you have completed a lesson you can play along with the Jam-Along CD’s. This is a huge advantage!  I really like the CD’s. They are not cheesy either. Great music to play along with.

The CD’s really helps with timing. Playing along with other musicians was harder than it seemed…at first. My timing is getting better with each day I practice.

They also have a great support system and a forum to ask questions from other guitar players. This was a really nice bonus that I didn’t find on the other courses I checked out.

I also appreciated the 60 day money back guarantee. I could play around with it for 2 months no strings attached. I figured I had nothing to lose by trying it.

With 20 DVD’s, 5 CD’s, and a support forum, I feel like I got more than my money’s worth.

All in all I’d say it was the best course that I have purchased online. I could not be happier!

My only regret is I wish I would have done this sooner. I really enjoy playing the guitar and actually being able to play it well.

This is a video by Steve Krenz, your guitar teacher on the Learn and Master DVD’s.

I decided to include some resources that you may like. My favorite places to shop for guitars and accessories are Musician’s Friend and the Guitar Center. These links will take you to their daily and weekly deals to help save you some money on your guitar purchases.

Stupid Deal Of The Day at MusiciansFriend.com
and
Screamin’ Deals of the Week at Guitar Center!

If you don’t have a guitar check out the deals at Musician’s Friend and the Guitar Center. You don’t need an expensive guitar if you’re just starting to play.

If you decide to start playing just be sure to set some time aside to do your lessons and practice. 30 minutes a day is all it takes to start playing some great songs within a very short time.

If you want to play guitar, don’t wait! It’s a wonderful experience and hopefully you will enjoy it as much as I do.

Learn Guitar Fast With A Guitar Instruction DVD

November 1st, 2009 admin No comments

Did you ever see one of those guys who just played so well and when he told you he has only played for a short time, like a few months, you thought he was lying?

It has happened to me on several occasions. But you know what?

You CAN learn guitar fast!!

You really can! I was amazed how easy it was after I found out what to do and then do it right!

I just had to practice with intent. But practice on the guitar is fun, except when your fingers don’t do what you want them to do!

To learn guitar fast you can start by doing some simple finger exercises to get your fingers used to playing. I got a guitar instruction dvd that taught me a lot!

But before I got the dvd I tried to learn by music books. There is nothing wrong with it… if I knew how to read music.

I don’t know about you but I can’t read music. Sure I can tell what note it is…if you give me a minute to figure it out but I can’t read it to the point that I could use it to play a song. I’d be there for days!

If I was going to learn to play the guitar immediately I was going to need something that will teach me fast.

I first asked myself what it meant to learn guitar fast. I was sure my definition was different than another persons.

For me I wanted to learn a few songs. That’s it! I just wanted to learn to play a few simple songs and then I’d be on my way!

 And you know what?

I did! It was GREAT!!

I was able to learn to play a couple of songs in just a few days. Once I learned the right way to play the chords and how to put them together it was really fast.

I knew I was not going to play lead guitar immediately. I had to learn to walk before I could run but that’s okay. I don’t want to be Eddie Van Halen. I wanted to learn to play and have fun with it too.

And guess what?

I am.

I’m really enjoying my DVD’s and I’m going to tell you all about them and where to get them.

Guitar Instruction DVD – Finding A Good One

October 30th, 2009 admin No comments

I made this blog on my quest to find a good program that would teach me how to play the guitar. I thought the best way to learn would be to find a good guitar instruction dvd.

The idea of using guitar instruction books didn’t appeal to me because I wanted to actually see how they did it and hear how it sounded. It had to be a DVD format. Plus I could sit on my couch and learn.

I know there are many of dvd’s available and I know that some have to be good and some are pretty bad.

But, I was on a mission to learn the guitar so here I am.

Since everyone seems to be writing their story on the web I thought I would do the same. I mean, maybe there are other people who want to play and want to know a good way to learn.

I’ll write more on this later as I got a guitar instruction dvd program and it looks pretty good. If you would like to leave a comment or feedback please feel free to do so.

Keep on jammin!
